The Insurance Market in the prefecture of Argolida

In the county there are four large municipalities -Nafpliou, Argos, Epidaurus and Ermionis- with our reportage focusing on Nafplio and the city of Argos which are the capitals of the larger county. The county is known for its rich history. From the ancient cities of Epidaurus and Mycenae, Argos, to the imposing fortress of Palamidi and Bourtzi -the small fortified island at the entrance of the vagina Nafpliou- Argolida is the favorite destination for thousands of Greek and foreign tourists every year.

According to the Chamber of Argolida in the county operate about 70 active insurance intermediary. These are mainly in the cities of Nafplio and Argos.

The companies that maintain their own offices in the area is the National Insurance, ATE Insurance, Interamerican, INTERSALONIKA and European Reliance.

However, there is intense activity of independent agents.

Interamerican is the only company that has elected officers, lie in between the two cities, the coastal road Nafplio – Nea Kios.

The National has office in Argos, the European Reliance and the ATE has offices in Nafplion, while INTERSALONIKA has office in Nafplion – very close to the city IKA – and Argos while retaining years’ cooperation with exclusive partner in Hermione region.

Unlike the prefecture of Drama, the prefecture Argolida seems to be plagued by intense unemployment and economic difficulties. The main cause of this seemingly strong economy of the region’s tourism observed in winter.
