Agora Insurance Strengthens Its Team with 4 Key Appointments

Agora Insurance is pleased to announce four senior appointments as the company continues to grow and develop its operations in Greece.

Spyros Trapezontas joins as Chief Operating Officer. Spyros has over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry, with a proven track record in operational excellence, strategic leadership and driving meaningful change. His background includes extensive experience in insurance broking, placement and claims handling, supported by strong market knowledge and advisory roles on insurance matters in major financed projects. An experienced leader and head of large teams, with a consistent focus on efficiency and the delivery of high-level service to clients and partners alike. As Chief Operating Officer, Spyros Trapezontas will oversee and coordinate the operations and growth of Agora Insurance.

Stergios Tsiftsis joins as Director of Large Corporate Risks. Stergios has over 35 years of expertise in large and complex risk underwriting and placement. Throughout his career he has held senior technical and management roles across major insurance companies and brokerages in Greece, developing strong expertise in industrial risks, large infrastructure and construction projects. He has extensive experience working with both local and international insurance markets, building strong and lasting relationships with insurers and brokers alike. As Director of Large Corporate Risks, Stergios Tsiftsis will oversee the placement and management of large corporate risk portfolios, bringing both technical depth and strong market relationships to Agora Insurance, while also supporting the training and deepening of knowledge of the placement team.

Theofanis Spiliotopoulos joins as Human Resources Manager. Theofanis has 20 years of experience in Human Resources Management, with extensive expertise in leading large-scale initiatives relating to organisational transformation, operational efficiency and the strengthening of corporate culture, in complex and highly regulated business environments. He holds an MBA from the inter-university programme of the Athens University of Economics and Business and the National Technical University of Athens, as well as an MSc in Finance and Banking from the University of Stirling. As Human Resources Manager, Theofanis Spiliotopoulos will play a key role in strengthening and developing the people and culture of Agora Insurance.

Thomas Koutras joins as Marketing & Communications Manager. Thomas has over 10 years of experience in marketing, with expertise in performance marketing, growth marketing and communications. Having worked across leading digital platforms and global networks, he has built a strong track record in driving brand visibility, audience engagement and strategic communications. As Marketing & Communications Manager, Thomas Koutras will lead the marketing and communications strategy across Agora Insurance.
